Calendula (Calendula officinalis)
Calendula is loved by all who grow it! The knee-high plant is medicinal, the extract is used in many body-care products, the boiled petals make a natural dye, and the petals are edible and very tasty. We like dried calendula petal as ice-cream sprinkles!
Calendula flowers tolerate light frost and can bloom until Thanksgiving or Christmas in many regions. The plants grow to about 24” tall and do well in full sun or part shade. The more you pick the flowers, the more they bloom!
Calendula seeds are available in our online seed catalog. 🌼
