Strawflowers are a favorite bloom in our garden and they’re very easy to grow. They do need a long growing season though so we start them indoors here in zone 7a in March and transplant outside after frost.
Strawflowers like lots of sun and they’re very drought-tolerant so they do great in areas that don’t get much rain. The flowers are wonderful in bouquets and they dry very easily, keeping their form and color for years after harvest.
