Sunflower (Helianthus annuus)
Sunflowers are a garden classic and our KSC mix is a selection of some of the most interesting colors that we've grown over the years. From the darkest red to lemon yellow and orange hues in between, these sunflowers are great for cut-flowers and for mass plantings. Recent research from NC State University found that planting flowers, specifically sunflowers, is a great way to help bee populations. Our garden research shows the same because our blooms are humming all summer!
Origin: The parent seeds of our sunflower mix come from many sources. Over the past twenty years we’ve collected unique sunflower varieties from many locations such as: Hungary, France, Chile, Mexico, North Dakota, and from the gardens of many friends.

Planting Instructions: sow 1 seed 1" deep every 8" after danger of frost. Full sun.
