The gift certificate was well received by my gardener friend. She was able to order easily.

I’m a teacher who keeps our school’s garden and heads up a garden club with students in grades 3-5. I found Kid’s Seed Co. while searching for seed catalogs for my kids to learn from and I loved the fact that this family involves their kids in the process of growing their vegetables and flowers as well as harvesting, processing, and packaging their seeds for sale.
I ordered Royal Burgundy string beans, cucamelons, amaranth flowers, and Brad’s Atomic Grape
Tomatoes. All except the amaranth are varieties I’ve grown before and I know they appeal to kids. I like how they offer proven varieties of vegetables that are somewhat unusual. The kids were excited to see the pictures of the purple beans, huge red amaranth flowers, and multicolored tomatoes. I don’t think they know what to make of the cucamelons! In any case, it’s still winter here now, but I know they can’t wait to see these seeds grow.
We also got a few bonus packs of seeds that will be put to good use as well.
The environmentally friendly packaging was a nice touch - especially since our school has a focus on the outdoors and the environment. Seeing the sticker reminding us to re-use the plastic ziplock bags the seeds come in and letting us know that the bags are actually made of biodegradable plastic was a great reinforcement of the values we aim to instill in our students.
While we don’t have any pictures of our seeds actually growing in our garden yet, if you’re reading this and would like to keep up with our school garden to see how the seeds we bought grow, feel free to visit our school garden blog at https://gardeningattheglen.edublogs.org/
We will definitely be keeping up with Thomas and Laura and Co. and will most likely be ordering from them again!
