Rocket Larkspur (Delphinium consolida)
A stunning and classic cut-flower that can be seen growing in wild meadows all across the world. Our Rocket mix blooms in white, pink and several shades of purple. The plant is a close cousin to delphiniums but grows as an annual. Larkspur is an early blooming plant and ours generally flowers by mid May here in zone 7b.
! IMPORTANT ! : Larkspur are toxic if ingested. Do not consume any part of the plant and prevent livestock from grazing.
Origin: We collected the parent seed of our Larkspur in France. On a trip to visit Mama's sister and her family in Meximieux, a suburb of Lyon, we saved seeds that were growing at the edge of a wheat field.

Germination rate: 90% - tested 8/30/24
Planting Instructions: Seeds benefit from a period of cold-stratification. In warm climates (zone 7 or warmer) sow seeds in Fall after your first frost. In colder climates sow directly in the garden a few weeks before your last average frost. Sow seeds 1/8" deep in full sun to part shade. We simply scatter the seeds on prepared soil and lightly rake them in.
