Melon (Cucumis melo)
We all agree that the perfect summer dessert is a ripe melon from the garden! This Edisto variety was developed at the Clemson University Agricultural Experiment Station in Blackville, SC. Edisto 47 does well in hot and humid climates and resists several common diseases.
Origin: One of our customers who has become a friend sent us the parent seed of this variety from her garden near Folly Beach, SC.

Germination rate: 90% - tested 8/30/24
Planting Instructions: Sow in mounds spaced 24" apart. Sow 3-4 seeds per mound 1" deep in full sun after frost. Seeds can be started indoors 4 weeks before last frost and transplanted.
