Parsley (Petroselinum crispum)
Flat-Leaf parsley is generally preferred for cooking for its robust flavor and this Giant of Italy variety is our favorite. We add this tasty herb to soups, sauces and make a variation of pesto with the abundant greens. Parsley is among the most consumed herbs in the world and is very nutritious and is said to aid with digestion. Parsley grows well in containers and we always keep a pot growing on the patio.
Origin: We saved the parent seed of this wonderful variety from a plant in the garden of a cousin in Ospedaletti, Italy.

Germination rate: 85% - tested 9/1/24
Planting Instructions: Soak seeds overnight before sowing to aid with germination. Sow a group of seeds 1/4" deep 6" apart in full sun as soon as the soil can be worked in spring.
