Pepper (Capsicum annuum)

A delicious ribbed, flattened and globe-shaped sweet pepper that we obtained on a trip to visit family in Szeged, Hungary. Szeged is known throughout the world for pepper cultivation, particularly the sweet peppers that are used in Hungarian paprika powder. In fact, one of our great Aunt's was a pepper researcher in the school of agriculture at the famous University of Szeged so our love for peppers is probably genetic!

The Round of Hungary pepper is wonderful for stuffing, fresh eating and it has a rich sweetness that will most likely make this variety one of your favorite sweet peppers. The flattened, ribbed form of the pepper is very aesthetically pleasing and the plants grow up to 3 ft. tall with prolific fruit production so we recommend staking this special variety.

Origin: We brought the parent seed of this beautiful and tasty Hungarian pepper to our garden from a trip to visit family in Hungary. The seeds came from the garden of a friend in Szeged.

 (Approximately 20 seeds per packet)

Planting Instructions: We recommend starting peppers indoors in a sunny and warm location 4-6 weeks before last frost in spring. Plant outdoors in full sun after danger of frost in spring. Note: Pepper seeds need soil temperatures to be at least 70 F to germinate and we use a heating pad under the seedling tray to maintain temperature.
