Black Beauty Zucchini (Cucurbita pepo)
Whether you call it a squash or a zucchini, Black Beauty is an heirloom squash variety that has been adored by gardeners since at least the 1920's. This bush variety is quick to produce fruits in the summer and it is so productive you'll have plenty to share. This variety is the star in our rosemary chocolate-chip zucchini bread.
Origin: The parent seed of our Black Beauty came from the garden of a friend in Swannanoa, NC.

Planting Instructions: Sow 3 seeds 1" deep on mounds 2-3ft apart in full sun after frost. Thin to 2 per mound when plants have several leaves.
