Bacon, Lettuce & This Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum)

This may just be the perfect juicy tomato for your summer BLT's! Bred by Gary "Tormato" Fitzgerald, this potato-leaf indeterminate variety produces big, juicy beefsteak fruits that have a classic tomato flavor. Did we mention they're JUICY?

The flesh of Bacon, Lettuce & This tomato is smooth, dense and meaty and the texture is one that sandwich lovers often look for in a tomato but rarely find. This is it! The sweet flavor has just the right amount of acid and umami notes make this one of the most flavorful tomatoes you'll find. Have a napkin handy and eat over your plate because this tomato drips with delicious goodness. 

The fruits are classic beefsteak and generally weight 12-16 oz with a bit of ribbing on the shoulders and a mostly round but slightly flattened shape. The red color often has little orange tint. Bacon Lettuce & This is a mid to late season variety. (Indeterminate, Potato-Leaf)

Origin: The parent seed of our Bacon, Lettuce & This tomatoes were given to us by Lauren from Mr. & Mrs. Tomato Head (Tomato lovers collaborative). Lauren is a world authority on tomatoes.

Germination Rate: All of our seed varieties exceed 80% germination and are re-tested every 6 months.

Planting Instructions: We recommend starting tomato seeds indoors in a bright and warm location 4 to 6 weeks before last frost date in spring. Transplant after danger of frost in full sun and trellis.
