Bola Yucatán Kanacin Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum)

A rare and very flavorful tomato from Merida, Mexico on the Yucatán. Merida is known as the regional culinary capital and this local variety plays an important role in the cuisine of Merida. The fruits of Bola Yucatán are fairly small, roughly 3" in diameter and 4-6 oz. The are very sweet and juicy and have fruity flavors. This is a sought-after variety by tomato lovers throughout Mexico and beyond. The flesh is a rich pink to red color. The plants are regular leafed and the fruits are ready mid-season here in zone 7b. (Indeterminate)

Origin: The parent seed of our Bola Yucatán Kanacin Tomato was sent to us years ago by a friend who lives in Merida. She recommends using the variety in homemade salsa and it's the best variety to use chopped on tacos.

(Approximately 20 seeds per packet)

Germination Rate: All of our seed varieties exceed 80% germination and are re-tested every 6 months.

Planting Instructions: We recommend starting tomato seeds indoors in a bright and warm location 4 to 6 weeks before last frost date in spring. Transplant after danger of frost in full sun and trellis.
